Meet the Dream Team

Our Adventure

Melissa and Katie met, as so many adults do, at work. They bonded over their love of board games, Harry Potter Trivia, and all things Disney – in no particular order.

They often found themselves daydreaming of their next adventure – planning many more trips than they could ever possibly take. They created Daydream Adventure Vacations so others can benefit from their planning skills and excessive theme park knowledge.

Melissa Haefele

Melissa is a wife, mom to two girls, and a theme park junkie. Combining her love of theme parks and her compulsive need to help people, she decided to start Daydream Adventure Vacations.

Whether you’re a family navigating Disney World for the first time, a group of friends looking to get away, or a couple wanting to relive your childhood, Melissa has experienced those vacations and can help you make the most of yours.

From the best little kid nap spots to prime late night drinks, she knows the tips & tricks to put the most possible magic in your vacation.

Favorite Park: Magic Kingdom with my kids. Epcot with my husband. Wizarding World with literally anyone.

Favorite Ride: Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. My husband and I were able to go to Epcot for a special ride preview and we rode it EIGHT TIMES. It is the most fun I’ve ever had on any ride ever. The music is great (gotta collect all the songs!) and the innovative storytelling coaster makes this ride so unique.

Favorite Disney Memory: Riding Splash Mountain at park close with Katie, terrified of getting my feet soaked because we still had a few hours left in the park (perk of a Deluxe resort!), and seeing the view of Space Mountain and Cinderella’s Castle all lit up. I’d do it over and over again just for that view! And because I can’t pick one memory – a private fireworks cruise with your own personal driver and Disney expert is an amazing luxury. Seeing the show in that setting with your family and friends is worth carving this into your budget.

Katie Cooper

Katie is a Disney fanatic and often refers to Disney World as her second home so starting Daydream Adventure Vacations is truly a dream come true. She knows Disney World like the back of her hand and will use that knowledge to help you maximize your vacation plans. A natural born planner combined with an extensive knowledge of everything and anything Disney are what make Katie an excellent ally as you plan your vacations. Whether you want to enjoy a vacation full of park days or one more laid back and relaxed with pool time and exploring, she’s done it all and has plenty of tips and tricks.

Need a break from adulting? Katie specializes in vacations for the “kids at heart”. She has planned and been a part of a variety of travel experiences from getaways with friends and girls trips to vacations for the whole extended family. She has also been known to do Disney like the kids do from time to time so she’s got great advice for making the trip with your littles extra magical! She’ll take all the stress out of planning so all you have to worry about is how many pairs of ears to pack 🙂

Favorite Park: This is a very tough one for me; Magic Kingdom will always hold a special place in my heart, but as I’ve grown older there’s something special about Epcot too. Waking up and grabbing breakfast in France, snacking in countries all around the “world” like Colombia, and Germany, finally wrapping up your evening with dinner in Mexico…I mean where else can you travel the world in one day!

Favorite Ride: Hands down it’s Expedition Everest…at least for now! Who knows what Disney will come up with to try and change my mind!

Favorite Disney Memory: There are so many memorable moments. That’s part of the amazing thing about Disney is that each trip brings new and exciting experiences to remember. The one that stands out the most though is standing in front of Cinderella’s Castle on my birthday watching the fireworks show, Happily Ever After (my favorite of the fireworks shows to date). It had started to rain so the crowd had cleared out just enough that I had a perfect view, it was as if I was the only one in the park and that the show was just for me. Disney makes you feel special, makes you feel as though everything in the world is magical and that’s what I feel everytime I step into Magic Kingdom, but that night sparked a dream that I knew I was meant to follow!
